BETRAYED
Fading away Into a jaded state
I reached Out for you
My hope, My only keepsake
Suffering silently, Oblivious and weary
Once again I fell victim
Lost control and drank from Your poison
Promises always empty
Promising to Remain with me
Prisoner to My own body
Helplessly pleading For your mercy
Once again I reached out For security
Take my hand As we Both know
This disease will Be the death of me
But instead Your eyes locked Into mine
Betraying me as you continued along
I glanced away so I would not have to see
As you permanently turned your back on me
